The next book in the series "HISTORY OF THE RUSSIAN STATE" describes the dramatic period from the February Revolution to the death of Joseph Stalin. The story centers on the evolution of the state system and changes in the country's public life.
"History of the Russian State" is a 10-year project by Boris Akunin, which includes historical texts and fiction. The main series of the project as of 2024 consists of 10 volumes.
One of the stated goals of Boris Akunin's publication is to make the retelling of Russian history objective and free from any ideological system while maintaining the accuracy of the facts. To do this, he said, he carefully compared historical data from various sources. From the mass of information, names, numbers, dates and judgments, he tried to choose everything that was undoubted or, at least, the most plausible. Insignificant and unreliable information was cut off.
The series of books was created for those who would like to know the history of Russia better. The author emphasizes that professional historians will not learn anything new from this work.
