This sequence to iDaghestan and the World of Islam/i, offers the English reading audience further acquaintance with the rich history, culture and heritage of Daghestan and its full integration in the cultural world of Islam. Seven of the ten chapters of this volume were written by Daghestani - and two more by Moscow - based scholars in order to demonstrate the products of recent scholarship on Daghestan, which is being almost exclusively written in Russian.
